Online Psychology Degree

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that allows individuals to receive credit for knowledge and skills they’ve gained through previous education, work experience, or informal learning pathways. This process acknowledges that valuable learning can occur outside of traditional educational institutions and that such knowledge may be relevant and applicable to formal academic programs. By evaluating an individual’s prior learning, RPL can reduce the time and cost of completing a degree or certification, enabling learners to build on what they already know and focus on acquiring new skills. RPL supports lifelong learning by validating a diverse range of learning experiences, making education more accessible and tailored to individual learning journeys.

Do you accept Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

Yes, we offer RPL for our programs. However, RPL is granted based on the content of the modules you have previously completed rather than simply the course titles. We ensure that the content you’ve studied aligns with the necessary knowledge requirements for our programs.

What sources of prior learning do you recognize?

We are one of the few institutions that accept prior learning from platforms like Udemy, Coursera, and EdX. If this learning is combined with relevant experience and/or a case study written by the applicant to demonstrate their knowledge, it may be eligible for RPL.

Which programs offer RPL?

RPL is available for our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. In certain cases, we may also consider RPL for our Associate Degree or Diploma programs, but it is primarily reserved for Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

What are the requirements for RPL consideration?

To be considered for RPL, applicants must provide:

  • Evidence of completed module content that aligns with our program requirements.
  • Relevant professional experience (if applicable).
  • A case study or written demonstration of knowledge may be needed (not always required), if prior learning was gained through non-traditional educational platforms (e.g., Udemy, Coursera, EdX).
  •

If you have any further questions about the RPL process or eligibility, please contact our admissions team for more details.
