Christian Psychology Academia is a legally recognized Non-Profit Religious Corporation (NPRC), established under the laws of the State of Wyoming. We are authorized to provide religious education, thereby issuing various types of religious degrees, including but not limited to, theology, faith-based counseling, and Christian education. Updated registration number is 2024-001536737, in compliance with the Wyoming Nonprofit Corporation Act (W.S. 17-19-101 through 17-19-1807).
In the United States and many parts of the world, accreditation of universities and seminaries is a voluntary process with accreditation granted by private, non-governmental agencies. Governmental agencies do not provide theological or ministry accreditation. Additionally, there is no absolute ‘national’ standard for educational accreditation, as the educational world is currently re-examining accreditation criteria, focusing less on institutional inputs and more on educational outcomes.
In the U.S. specifically, there is no requirement for federal or state accreditation of a religious institution, because the civil government has no authority to regulate religious teachings or dictate which certificates or religious degrees may be issued. This is a matter of separation of Church and State. Politicians and civil authorities must never be allowed to officially endorse or disapprove, directly or indirectly, the beliefs and practices of churches or their schools.
Christian Psychology Academia has however still extended the accreditation of our course materials with the following respected secular and religious accrediting bodies to ensure quality education:
Please note that while Christian Psychology Academia maintains these accreditations, and we strive for quality education we are not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).These degrees are not guaranteed to qualify individuals for licensing or professional accreditation in psychology from governmental or regulatory bodies.
Our accreditations are voluntary, rather than mandatory. The accrediting bodies we work with monitor educational and/or religious standards for relevant colleges, and their accreditation is accepted by many religious and secular organizations, but this acceptance is not guaranteed. We encourage students to verify the acceptability of their degrees with relevant institutions or employers in their home countries before enrollment.
Our degrees are intended for theological education, whether secular, spiritual, or ministerial. They are not designed for clinical use, but may provide valuable insights to clinicians who incorporate Christian and spiritual principles into their practice. While these degrees can be beneficial in secular academic or professional contexts, they are not specifically intended for such purposes.
The degrees offered by Christian Psychology Academia are not clinical psychology degrees, but rather focus on spiritual, Christian-based psychological principles. These programs are designed to provide a faith-based understanding of human behavior, with a strong emphasis on pure psychology grounded in spiritual and pastoral care. The concept of pure psychology in this context refers to the study of human behavior and mental processes, integrating both psychological theories and biblical principles to offer a holistic view of the mind, spirit, and soul.
